Hahn get first PGA win

For the second time in the last three weeks a PGA Tour event came down playoff holes. This time James Hahn was able to defeat Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey to win the 2015 Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club. This was his first Tour victory. He was able to make a putt on the third playoff hole to get the W.

Retief Goosen led after three rounds but crumbled on the last 18 holes. He shot 75 in the final round. He is still winless in the last six seasons.

Sergio Garcia went bogey, bogey on 17 and 18 to miss the playoff by one shot.

Jason Day outduels J.B Holmes to win the Farmers

The Farmers Insurance Open was nothing but exciting to the last stroke of the tournament.

It came down to the second playoff hole where Jason Day was able to par the 16th to clinch to the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

With the win he is now ranked fourth in the world. This was he fourth PGA Tour victory.

Day and Holmes were able to salvage birdie to force the second playoff and eliminate Scott Stallings and Harris English.

Jason Day nearly put his third shot on the par 5 18th in the drink. He was able to get up and down to shoot a 70.

Holmes couldn’t make his birdie putt on 18 to clinch the tourney.

Koepka wins the Waste Management Phoenix Open

Brooks Koepka was able to shoot a 66 en route to winning the Waste Management Phoenix Open. It was his first tour victory.

Hideki Matsuyama had a chance to send the tourney to a playoff, but missed his left-to-right breaking putt. However, he did record a fairway eagle on the first.

Martin Laird was tied with Koepka after his birdie on the par 5 15th, but he stumbled into the clubhouse as he recorded a bogey on the drivable 17th and he doubled on the 18th after driving into the drink.

The shot of the tournament had to go to Francesco Molinari who recorded an ace on the signature 16th hole.

Haas shoots 67 to win the Humana Challenge

Bill Haas was able to shoot four rounds in the 60s en route to his sixth PGA Tour title.

He was able to hold off beat Charley Hoffman, Brendan Steele, Sung Joon Park, Steve Wheatcroft, and Matt Kuchar by one stroke.

Phil Mickelson could not recover from a first round 71. He finished at -15 tied for 24.

Tiger Woods will make his season debut at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. This is his first time playing the course since 2001 when happened to ace the par-3 16th in the third round. The last time Tiger played in a competitive tournament was his Hero World Challenge where he came in tied for 17th. He has a new swing consultant and it will be very interesting to see how he performs in his first outing of 2015. Rickie Fowler is making his first start on the PGA Tour in Scottsdale. He played at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship earlier this month. He finished T66 2-under.
