Black History Month Presents: Lionel Richie & Commodores Top 10

Anyone who knows me knows that my favorite singer/performer of all-time is Lionel Richie. His music is timeless and incomparable. As a performer Richie doesn’t need dancers and all of the lights. All he needs is that voice and a piano.

As a young man, the world was introduced to Lionel Richie when he was the lead singer of the Commodores and in the early 80’s he decided to go solo and create many more hits.

Lionel’s music is so well liked, he decided to “countrify” his hits and made some of them better on the Tuskegee album. On the album, Richie teamed up with a few of country’s best artists and remade 13 of his and the Commodores’ hits.

Typically, I do a top 10 countdown and leave it at that, but because there are so many hits I have decided to do a top 10 for both The Commodores and Lionel Richie.

The PGA Tour returns to three of the most beautiful courses on the tour as they travel to Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, and Monterey Peninsula CC.

Last season, Jimmy Walker nearly squandered a six-stroke lead in the final round. He was able to scramble and make par on the par-5 18th hole of Pebble Beach.

“I made it a little more dramatic than it needed to be,” Walker said.
